The Daventry Town Community Bus is our wonderful home-to-town bus service managed by DACT and funded by Daventry Town Council.

Previously this service was only open to those aged 65 and over but has been changed to include residents in Daventry town who have mobility and access challenges, no matter their age.

This free service runs every Friday morning to coincide with one of our market days in Daventry, (perfect for stocking up on supplies at the market). Whether you've got some shopping to do, an appointment in town or you're meeting a friend for coffee.

One of our fantastic volunteers takes our bus around Daventry, picking up individuals from their home, and dropping them off in the heart of the town centre and later returning them back home. .

Our DTC Bus will get you there safely and in comfort.

What's more - it's FREE!

Watch the the video (put together by the Northamptonshire Community Foundation) to hear the testimonies of some of those who have benefiting from this wonderful service.

What Our Users Say

“Every Friday is the only day I get out to see anybody or do anything. It's my lifeline, really!”. -Mrs P

“Amazing service, it is fantastic for my mum. Thank you for all you do!”. - Mrs M

“It’s absolutely fantastic. I’ve been using it since my husband died and I don’t know what I would do without it. They wait for you, pick you up, take you into town and drop you home again. It sounds so simple but I’m getting on a bit, so I would be stuck at home by myself if the bus didn’t run. You can get terribly lonely when you’re older, so having people to chat to on the way into town means so much more than you could imagine”. - Mrs J
