Throughout the Daventry District, we have an incredible team of volunteer drivers who want to help get you to those appointments.
As soon as you get your Hospital, Health Centre, Optician or Dentist appointment - give us a call on 01327 701665 Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm (the more notice the better!) and one of our drivers will get you there.
They will pick you up from your home, take you to your appointment, wait with you and bring you back, offering assistance along the way when needed. You can also bring an escort with you too.
Cost:
Admin fee that goes to DACT for arranging the trip of between £3.50-£4.50.
Volunteer Drivers Mileage: 45p per mile (in Daventry/Village) 50p per mile (outside Daventry/Village)
Payment is Cash Only which is paid to the volunteer driver on the day.
There is No annual membership fee.

I also use them for most of my regular hospital visits where getting buses isn’t possible or would simply take too long for a 10min appointment....
