Daventry Town Community Bus

Daventry Town Community Bus (formerly Dial-a-Ride) is our wonderful home-to-town bus service, available to all those with mobility and access challenges in Daventry town - it’s FREE!  (in partnership with Daventry Town Council)

This free service runs every Friday morning to coincide with one of our market days in Daventry, (perfect for stocking up on supplies at the market). Whether you've got some shopping to do, an appointment in town or you're meeting a friend for coffee.

One of our fantastic volunteers takes our bus around Daventry town, picking up individuals from their home, and dropping them off in the heart of the town centre and later returning them back home.

Our DTC Bus will get you there safely and in comfort.

Watch the video on the left of the screen (put together by the Northamptonshire Community Foundation) to hear the testimonies of some of those benefiting from this wonderful service.

Every Friday is the only day I get out to see anybody or do anything. It’s my lifeline, really!

Amazing service, it is fantastic for my mum. Thank you for all you do!

It’s absolutely fantastic. I’ve been using it since my husband died and I don’t know what I would do without it. They wait for you, pick you up, take you into town and drop you home again. It sounds so simple but I’m getting on a bit, so I would be stuck at home by myself if the bus didn’t run. You can get terribly lonely when you’re older, so having people to chat to on the way into town means so much more than you could imagine.
